R.P.D. - History
R.P.D. - Raccoon Police Department; was a former police department which was founded in 1996 in order to combat the increasing rate of terrorism and cult-related crimes. R.P.D. was located in Raccoon City. Both Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Resident Evil: Outbreak had the R.P.D. Police station in it. The S.T.A.R.S. office was also located on the second floor of R.P.D. which left somewhat clues of the whereabouts of Chris Redfield

R.P.D. In game encounters
Leon S. Kennedy was just a rookie police officer on his first day on the job in the Raccoon Police Department, and Claire Redfield, a college student looking for her brother (Chris Redfield). They fight many zombies to reach the police station. There they find Ada Wong and a little girl called Sherry Birkin.
Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was also trying to escape Raccoon City, she went through R.P.D. once in the game.
