Biography

Years before the Events of Resident Evil, Dr. Marcus, along with his partners Ozwell E. Spencer and Alexander Ashford, discovered the T-Virus and founded the Umbrella Corporation. After the death of Ashford, Marcus and Spencer continued to run the company for years. Eventually, Spencer had Marcus assassinated so he would have the company to himself. Years later, Dr. Marcus reanimated himself with his leeches (whom he'd had a fondness for running experiments on) and infected the Spencer Mansion, which caused the events of the first Resident Evil
