A comprehensive list of the various weapons and upgrades featured in the game.

Assault Rifle

Hardly considered an assault rifle, this weapon will fire one bullet at once, capable of dropping a zombie at close-range in one shot. Moderately strong, and fairly easy to aim.

Beretta Hand Gun

A standard issue handgun which is less preferred, as it does minimal damage to enemies. The handgun should only be used when there is nothing stronger available.

Combat Knife

The combat knife is a fairly useful weapon for close-range combat, however its crowd control is more effective against zombies than stronger foes.

Expect 4 hits with the knife to drop a standard zombie.

Gas Launcher

The Gas Launcher is capable of clearing an entire room of zombies with a single round. Not as effective against stronger enemies or bosses.

Grenade Launcher

One of the heavier-hitting weapons in Gaiden, the Grenade Launcher is tough to aim and is appropriate for close or medium-ranged shots. A zombie will fall with one shot of the Grenade Launcher.

Rocket Launcher

Incredibly powerful, and widely considered the most effective weapon in Gaiden. The Rocket Launcher is hard to aim, but delivers immense damage for the effort.

Shotgun

The shotgun is tougher to aim than the weaker weapons, but can work effectively at close and long range. Two shots are to be expected to drop a zombie, one if it's a head-shot.
