The Mercenaries is an action packed minigame where the objective is to kill as many enemies as you can within a time limit, with the prospect of winning the Handcannon this is a worthwhile and fun task.
The minigame is unlocked after completing the main game on any difficulty.
Important attributes / items:
Time Extensions - Collecting these will increase the time you play the game and will therefore allow you to kill more enemies and gain a higher score at the end of the game.
Hourglasses - Hidden in treasure chests, these are scattered around the stages in regular positions; When opened they reveal a score booster, which will increase the points per kill up to 1000.
Chain Kills - These are extremely important in this game, killing a large number of enemies in one long killing spree will boost your score greatly.
Ammo Conservation - It is important to conserve and look after your ammo, mostly so for the powerful weapons, you do not want to fight JJ or the Super Salvador with a handgun.
Grenades and Explosive barrels - Round up large groups of enemies and get those chain kills rolling in with a nicely positioned grenade.
