3. The Island
The Island, number 3 on your list of conquest, and in my opinion, one of the most annoying levels. It's monotonous and drab with difficult enemies. But hey, if it wasn't a challenege, you wouldn't appreciate the handcannon, so lets get down to it...

The Level

You find yourself in a smaller section of the island toward the end of the game in this level. Multiple spawns including but not limited to high up on platforms where you spawn already surrounded with enemies or down low on the ground... also surrounded by enemies.
This level is littered with tme pick-ups and bonus 30 second timers.
The enemies you encounter are those annoying workers from the island, weilding their annoying crossbows and stun sticks.

The Boss

J.J.. I hate this guy. Simple. The fat, greasy chaingun weilding maniac variety of enemies has always gotten on my nerves, but he takes the cake. He's big, he's tough and he's the only enemy in the game that has the capacity to return fire. The nature of the level also makes him difficul to fight. You need to be accurate and preferably close range to take him down quickly, and the hills, ladders and platforms of the Island level leave you far away from him most of he time when he appears. Check out the character-specific page for methods of beating each boss once it gets done. Until then, I'll just say that you're best bet is to get up, close and personal with Mr. JJ but at the same time, have something to hide behind for when he starts to let loose with that chaingun.

The Strategies

There's nothing overly special you can do on this level. Each of the other levels has some sort of trick you can use such as boss spawns or grouping ganados around exploding barrels. Not this time. The Island is simply a matter of using your knowledge of your surroundings and character to come together and get as large a combo as you can whilst collecting the pickups and keeping yourself out of as much danger as possible.

Hunk

Using HUNK JJ is simple enough to defeat all you have to do is get into a spot where you can shoot him but he can't shoot back. It should take less than 100 bullets to kill him, they are somewhat strong. Either that or wait until he must reload and just shoot him from there with the occasional grenade which will also gain you points for killing the nearby enemies.

Krauser

JJ is simple with Krauser, you don't even have to use the transformation to beat him. As with HUNK you can wait until he reloads and come out and shoot him repeatedly with the arrows. The arrows are strong enough to stun him for a bit and it only takes about four of them to kill him.

Wesker

Beating JJ with Wesker isn't at all very hard as he has the Killer 7. About 6 goods hits or maybe even less and he is dead. If you like using your Grenades often try to save at least one Flash Grenade and one Hand Grenade. Once you notice he is unloading his lead on you try to find a good spot to hide and wait until he must reload. Once he does come out with the Flash grenade and use it. While he is stunned throw the Hand Grenade and immediately Equip your Killer 7. The rest should be pretty easy from there.
