The Cerberus will usually attack you in pairs or groups, they have very random attacking patterns and will run at you and jump, this is a great time to make a timed headshot.

The handguns will be sufficient enough to deal with this enemy, a swift shot to the head will kill the Cerberus instantly, just remember there are usually more than one.
